While most of us are sound asleep, 77-year-old Ernestine Shepherd wakes up every morning at 2:30 am to start her day. She follows a similar routine which includes a breakfast of 10 egg whites and a handful of nuts followed by a run around her neighborhood. She sings the same song to keep herself motivated. She is the world’s oldest female bodybuilder, and has the body to prove it!
Ernestine began this routine years ago after her sister had passed away. She spent too much time being inactive and depressed. Her blood pressure was high and she began having a myriad of health issues. Her sister came to her in a dream and told her to get up and get going again. She hasn’t looked back.
Now she is inspiring others with her story by teaching weight lifting classes and being an example of health to all!
