A Homecoming Queen and VIP of the football team, this Michigan girl is showing that girls can do it all. Brianna Amat is the first female to play on Pinckney High School’s varsity football team. She was crowned homecoming queen at half time and kicked a 31-yard game-winning field goal. She is also a star soccer player at her high school.
She was surprised that she had been crowned homecoming queen. Probably the first queen to wear football pads as she was crowned with her tiara. Then, during the end of the third quarter, facing a fourth and goal, her coach told her to kick a 31-yard field goal. She made the kick, a personal best, and put her team in the lead 9 -7. Amat plans to attend Western Michigan University and major in business advertising.
What a girl to look up to! Does your daughter aspire to play sports or head into a career that isn’t usually considered for females? It’s always inspiring to hear about girls breaking down barriers!
